Wilmot’s National Cancer Institute designation is a powerful validation of the science, talent, and commitment we’ve built over decades—but we’re just getting started. Wilmot is on the cusp of significantly advancing research, and we must move boldly, think bigger, act faster, and never lose sight of the patients who are counting on us.

Tomorrow’s cancer treatments, today

Every year, thousands of people in our region face cancer— some with rare or complex forms that don’t respond to standard treatments. Often, the best option is a clinical trial, where our patients can access tomorrow’s breakthrough therapies, today. Wilmot Cancer Institute is poised to dramatically expand our clinical trial program through an initiative called Developmental Therapeutics— rapidly moving laboratory discoveries into innovative, personalized new approaches and first-in-human treatments for our patients, years before they are available anywhere else.
