Tom Golisano’s transformative $50 million gift enables us to build the Golisano Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Institute at University of Rochester Medicine. The gift—the largest in the University’s history—makes it possible to bring together all of the University’s expertise in IDD to become the worldwide gold standard for IDD health, services, and outreach.

The Strong Memorial Hospital Expansion Project—the largest capital project in the University’s history—will nearly quadruple the size of the emergency department and add more than 100 inpatient rooms, allowing us to diagnose and treat patients more quickly, in more comfortable spaces that better serve the health needs of our community.
