Making an Enduring Difference

Meeting Our Progressive Needs

“As the leader of a great construction company, Wayne LeChase literally helped to build the University of Rochester, creating attractive, productive and innovative environments to meet the progressive needs of our academic, clinical and research missions. However, his contributions run even deeper than the buildings that will bear the LeChase name for generations. As a donor, trustee and community leader, Wayne’s impact has been influential in the full range of our efforts—from nurturing the smallest newborns to supporting great advances in medicine.”

A Remarkable Dedication
to Our Community’s Well-Being

One of many buildings built by LeChase Construction on the Medical Center campus, Golisano Children’s Hospital is the largest capital project in the University’s history. Its 245,000 square feet of space is dedicated to the special needs of children and their families, including an interactive play pod on the first floor that Wayne and Beverly supported. The state-of-the-art facility also has a less visible but equally powerful impact on helping the hospital to recruit world-class physicians and researchers.

“Without the hospital, Gavin wouldn’t be here and I couldn’t imagine a world without him. From the bottom of our hearts, and Gavin’s patched heart, we say ‘thank you.’ This hospital is a miracle.”
